Newsdesk: Business Africa has been piloted in the classroom and students and teachers alike found it engaging, relevant and informative. 

Newsdesk: Business Africa  was showcased at the eLearning Africa 2006 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, in May 2006. eLearning Africa intends to become an eLearning capacity-building event for the entire African continent and a forum for all stakeholders engaged in the planning and implementation of technology-supported learning and training. Newsdesk was officially launched on 18 September 2006 at the UN Millennium Plaza Hotel, following the UN/NEPAD/ABR Bending the Arc forum to accelerate progress towards the Millennium Development Goals in Africa, on the eve of the 61st UN General Assembly.
